AIRDRINK ASSOCIATION, IT IS ABOVE ALL A STORY OF MEN...OF WOMEN

Passionate about Africa, it was during a trip to Mali, more than 10 years ago, that Philippe was touched by these Dogon women who spend their day...their life fetching water. A vital action for this people so simple for us in the West.

A journey that allowed him to discover a secret and almost mythical people who live in the cliffs, in the caves. An exceptional encounter where extreme poverty, in the western sense of the word, contrasts with the kindness of the population.

After these strong moments, Philippe anchors these events in his memory while saying to himself "one day, I will do something for the access to water".

AND THAT DAY CAME!

His life as a businessman done, Philippe needed to carry out a project that made sense. He enlisted his lifelong friend Lionel and the two of them set out to propose viable solutions for access to drinking water in water-starved tropical environments.

Today, 30% of the world's population still does not have access to drinking water at home (1). Access to drinking water in the world is one of the major challenges of our society. It has become our mission.

Men of action, their objective is to set up pragmatic, operational and easy to implement solutions. The association is more than atypical because it provides the material and installs it with a very educational approach to make the populations autonomous.

THE FAMOUS MACHINES THAT TRANSFORM AIR INTO DRINKING WATER!

These machines are atmospheric water generators and represent an incredible technological breakthrough. They create pure, fresh drinking water from the air we breathe.

The efficiency of the AWG (Atmospheric Water Generator) is a function of the humidity and temperature of the air. This means that the higher the humidity in the atmosphere, the more water the machine will produce. Humidity is part of the Earth's hydrological cycle. The water produced by the AWG converting air humidity into water does not contain any contaminants, bacteria or other microorganisms.

This technology makes it possible to bring pure drinking water to places where sanitary conditions are difficult and do not allow for alternatives, such as

-        Where the water trucks can't go

-        When groundwater (water tables, boreholes) is contaminated

-        When you are far from the coast and desalination plants

-        When supply is uncertain (power cuts, droughts, etc.))

Our partner DrinkableAir has already participated in projects in Kenya.
In February 2019, Drinkable Air Technologies was informed by its local Kenyan distributor, that an AWG machine had been accepted as a demonstration for the United Nations Conference on the Environment in Nairobi on March 11-15, 2019.

The distributor and manufacturer identified an ideal location, a school, to obtain objective and subjective data surrounding such a placement to share at the conference. David N. Wandabi, Eco-Schools Program Manager, Kenya Environmental Education Organization, then presented a Model C8 at St. Mary's Primary School in Machakos County.

OUR AMBITION :

  • Short-term: set up 2 pilot projects with 2 types of machine (medium and large production -> over 300 liters per day).
  • In the longer term: deploy these solutions with the help of as many associations as possible around the world.

40% of the purchase price of the first SMS in history (107 000 euros), would allow to supply 400 people with drinking water per day. The choice is quickly made for us and you?
