On Friday, August 12, the commune of Haho1 welcomed with honor a delegation of the NGO OPED for the official handover of the atmospheric water generator delivered by AirDrink Association.

The reception of the jewel (as he calls it) was done in the presence of the 1st and 3rd Deputy Mayor of the commune of Haho1 representing the Mayor. The generator is installed in the health center (USP) of the village of Atchavé. It will allow to produce 15 to 20 liters of drinking water / day.

This is the first time such a process has been used in Togo and West Africa.

Also present at the ceremony were the chief of the Atchavé canton, the municipal councillors of the area, the notables, the members of the Public School Management Committee (COGEP) and the USP as well as the presidents of the Village Development Committees (CVD).

A few minutes after its installation, the generator produced pure water which was tasted and very appreciated by the authorities present at the ceremony. A regular follow-up of the machine will be done in order to ensure its maintenance and a durable use.

We aim to strengthen our partnership with the commune of Haho1 in order to contribute to meeting the needs of access to drinking water in the commune.
